Method
Turn cooking mode on
1.
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
2.
In a medium bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder and sea salt. Set aside.
3 3/4 cup Cake flour
2 cup Granulated sugar
1 tbsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Fine sea salt

In a stand mixer or large bowl, beat the butter until creamy.
1 cup Salted butter
4.
Add the strawberries, milk, vanilla, eggs, and egg whites. Beat until smooth.
1 1/4 cup Pureed strawberries
1/2 cup Milk
1 tbsp Pure vanilla extract
3 Eggs
2 Egg whites

Slowly pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and stir until you have a smooth batter.
6.
Pour the batter into 2, 9 inch greased cake pans.
7.
Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until you can pull a toothpick out clean from the center of the cake.
8.
Remove and let the cake cool completely before icing.
For the frosting:
1.
Beat the softened butter and cream cheese together, using a mixer, until smooth.
1/2 cup Salted butter
8 oz Cream cheese
2.
Add the vanilla and beat again.
1 tsp Vanilla extract
3.
1 cup at a time, add the powdered sugar and beat until thick and smooth.
4 cup Powdered sugar
4.
Once the cake is cooled, frost the first layer, adding the sliced strawberries on top.
1 cup Strawberries
5.
Add the second cake and frost the top, adding more sliced strawberries to decorate as you like.
